The Journey: The first couple of days

The Journey:

When dad and I heard you needed to wear a patch, I went straight to the fabric store and got supplies to make you some. Dad helped me draw a pattern and told me where to sew. Right now you are suppose to wear the patch for six hours a day, (and wear it over the eye you can see out of) but the only time we can get you to wear it-is when we take you to the park, let you squirt us with a squirt bottle, and act silly. You are making progress, but we still have a long road a head of us.

I called the doctor's office yesterday and they are still trying to work things out with the insurance. We should know in a couple of days what the plans are for your surgery.
Right now you are suppose to wear your
eye patch for six hours a day.
One way we get you to wear it,
is letting you squirt us with a squirt
bottle.

We take you to the park
for an hour, or how ever
long you want to play for!
As long as you wear your patch.

You love to swing now!
It seems like since you started
wearing your eye patch,
you don't seem as scared
as you use to be.

Here you are climbing the
ROCK WALL.
You are so brave!

This is your new smile!
I love it.

Dad wouldn't let me take a picture of him.
He is helping me come up with a
pattern for your eye patch.

(The first day with your eye patch)
We decided to let you and baby take turns wearing it.
...You love putting your eye patch on
your baby doll!

....but don't like wearing the
eye patch for yourself. :)

(First day of eye patch)
It's all smiles until it's your turn!

You are teaching us all so much! You are literally "walking by faith" and remind me that I need to walk with my spiritual eyes and have faith in my loving Heavenly Father.
